Physics Students Hold a Physic Science Competition And Water Rocket Competition at the Physics Fair (PRF)
In commemorating the HUT HIMAFI which falls on the date 06 October 2016, Physics students organize various activities at the Physics Fair (PRF). PRF is a routine agenda held by HIMAFI every year and this is the fourth time HIMAFI holds PRF. The Physics Fair was officially opened by the Dean of FMIPA and was attended by all participants in the Physic Science Competition, water rocket contest participant, and representatives of UKF MIPA UNTAD Departmental Student Associations.
The rain that has been flushing for some time has not dampened the enthusiasm of the contestants, they looked very enthusiastic about participating in the series, both participants in the Physic Science Competition and the Water Rocket Competition. The total number of participants in the Physics Fair is 240 People consisting of 150 Participants in the Physic Science Competition and 90 Water Rocket Competition participants.
In preparing the questions and technical assessment of the Physics Competition, the Competition Team Committee worked closely with the final year Physics lecturers and students. The Elimination Round of the Physic Science Competition was held at the UNTAD Auditorium, then the Semi Finals were held in the FMIPA Hall, and the Final of the Physic Science Competition was held at the Physics Department of FMIPA UNTAD. The jury in the assessment of the Water Rocket Competition consists of several Physics Lecturers, and Physics Students while the Water Rocket Competition was held at the Tadulako University Field.
The winner of the high school level Physic Science Competition was Mudzakkir Nur Awal from SMA Al-Azhar Palu, Champion 2 Muhammad Cikal Merdeka from Al-Azhar High School, and Champion 3 Faizal Nawawi from SMA Al-Azhar Palu. Meanwhile, the winner for the junior high school level was Ida Bagus Putra Manuasa from SMPN 1 Hammer, followed by Champion 2 namely Muhammad Rizky Sya'ban from SMP Al-Azhar Palu, and Champion 3 Vicram Setiawan from SMP Al-Azhar Palu.
The winner of the Junior High School Water Rocket Competition came from the Muhammadiyah Al-Haq MTS Team (Muhammad Riza and Anjar S.B), champion 2 from the MTS Muhammadiyah Al-Haq Team (Andi Ridwan and Reza. P), and Champion 3 from the Middle School Team 9 Hammer (Siska Kartika Putri, Muh Qadarul Haq Madi, and Febri Adhy Ray Saputra). while the SD level was won by the MIT An-Nur BUUTS Team (Darean Ahmad Raffi Mardin, Suspect inspiration, and Sharif Yamani), followed by champion 2 TIM SD An- Only BUUTS (Syahrul Ramadhan, Sales, and Fadel) and Champion 3 TIM SD An- Only BUUTS (Muhammad Zafwan, Ahmad Mukhsin, and Muhammad Jibril).
As Chair of the Committee, Indra Oktora hopes that all the objectives of this activity can be achieved so that the Physics Department of FMIPA can be widely known by the people of Central Sulawesi, increase students' interest in Physics, as well as providing competent competencies to all elementary to high school students . Apart from that, Indra hopes that next year HIMAFI will be able to develop other activities at the Physics Fair.
"Our hope from this activity is that all the objectives of the activity can be achieved, The Department of Physics can be widely recognized by the public, especially in Central Sulawesi Province, increase students' interest in Physics, and provide competent competence to all elementary school students, Junior High, and high school. We also hope that next year it will not only be this activity that can be carried out, We hope that many other activities will be held at the Physics Fair," said Indra.
