Established since years 1981 with the status of a State University based in Palu City, Central Sulawesi. Tadulako University, which was previously a private university in (1963-1966) and in time 15 year Tadulako University Branch status (1966-1981). As the only State University in Central Sulawesi, Tadulako University has given birth 45.467 Untad alma mater alumni on the implementation of the th Graduation 75 at the date of 26 June 2014. On the day, Monday (18/08/14) An Extraordinary Open Academic Senate Meeting was held in the context of the 33rd Anniversary of Tadulako University which was attended by the Governor of Central Sulawesi Drs.H. Longki Djanggola, M.Si as the honorary head of Dewan Penyantun. In addition, the Chair of the Central Sulawesi Provincial DPRD was also present, Central Sulawesi Regional Police Chief and Palu Resort Police Chief, also Muspida of Central Sulawesi, also present the chief, deputy chairman and member of the Advisory Council, SPI, Untad Professor Council, Untad Academic Senate Commission, entire Institution, Bureau, UPT, Teacher, Tadulako University staff and students. The anniversary which was held at the Tadulako University Auditorium building was solemn, on this occasion the Chancellor of Tadulako University, Mr. Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Basir, S.E., M.S. in his speech conveyed, "We are present in this time because there is a time left by our predecessors. That is the reason, I always echo the term "Across Generations" which means that for those of us who are still healthy and accept the leadership relay, should not ignore and forget the previous generation who still have the passion to work. We have to open up space and give them time. Do not close the entrance to serve and do not hinder their footsteps to give thought. ” He also added, " agree or not, the present moment, slowly but surely, will be the past in the eyes of our future generations, and the past in their eyes, we-we are in it. Respecting parents is obligatory, and in the educated people are not the place for arrogance, forget history, let alone discredit other people. At the time, he really agreed that Tadulako University should be the beacon of light, radiant light, must be born and grow in the beloved Tadulako Earth. Capital of the spirit of togetherness that is, This PTN named Tadulako University has finally become a reality that is starting to be taken into account throughout the country and the world. And the seconds of the date 18 August 1981 that's it, which we then commemorate as the birthday of Tadulako University as a locomotive of wisdom for the development of human resources with dignity, dignified, and intelligent."
