Syahra Elfi Syaher or who is often called Syahra is a Pharmacy student from the FMIPA UNTAD class 2022 who managed to get 2nd Best Speaker at the National University Debating Championship (NUDC). Syahra successfully advanced to represent UNTAD to compete in the regional after going through a series of fierce competition with participants from various faculties at Tadulako University. NUDC is a competition held by the National Performance Center (SEMI-PRESS) and is held every year focusing on debates in English. Previously, Syahra had participated in the same competition in 2018 2023, However, that year Syahra only reached the final stage and got the 1st position 4.
“NUDC (National University Debating Championship) this is routinely held by PUSPRESNAS every year. The focus of the competition was English debate, so I took part because last year I also happened to take part because I got information from the class group and met senior debaters in other faculties, then they guided me and this year, thank God, I was able to get 2nd best speaker and represent UNTAD to compete. to regional level", said Syahra.
Syahra's hope is for FMIPA students to be braver in trying new things and if their friends have potential, don't be shy to appear and hone their talents and have a competitive mentality..
