Faculty of Math and Science (FMIPA) Tadulako University in its relatively young age (stood August 2007) has shown its existence as one of the faculties at Tadulako University. Currently, FMIPA consists of 6 Study Programs are : Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Statistics and Non-Regular Pharmacy.
The objectives of the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty are :
- Organizing a science education system and its application that produces quality graduates of national standard.
- Develop the object of scientific study and its application on an ongoing basis until it reaches national standards.
- Improve the quality and quantity of human resources, equipment, infrastructure to support the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education.
- Increase cooperation and improve the quality of cooperation with domestic and international institutions to support the improvement of the quality of regional human resources.
To improve the quality of services and to improve the ranking of Tadulako University's ranking both on an international and national scale, where is currently Univ. Tadulako is at Cluster 30 Indonesia's Best Universities (Webmatrik, 2016) and rankings 35 Indonesia's best, 3 Best East Indonesia (based on the Decree of the Minister of Research Technology and Higher Education), especially FMIPA at this time which is commanded by Dr. M. Rusydi Hasanuddin (Dean) along with other leadership elements such as Prof. Dr. Ramadanil Pitopang, Msi (Wadek Pawn), Dr. Abdul Rahman, MSi (Wadek Big Dipper) and Dr. Rustan Effendi (Wadek Bima) has given many new colors for the improvement of FMIPA in the future. In addition to IT Network improvements (Information Technology) who have implemented a Study Plan Card filling system (KRS ) and DPNA (List of Participants Final Score) Online courses, also in terms of improving academic quality services, such as DPNA income on time.
On 15 February 2016, last Monday a themed activity was held :” Service Optimization in Order to Improve Study Program Accreditation at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Tadulako University” took place in the FMIPA Hall which was attended by the Chancellor of Tadulako University Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Basir, MS, Prof. Dr. H. Hasan Basri, MA (Chairman of the Senate of Professors of Tadulako University), Prof. Dr. Ir. Mahfudz (Warek Biduk UNTAD), Prof. Dr. Jayani Nurdin (Warek Bima), Prof. Mary Napitupulu , PhD (Warek Kerjasama), Prof. Dr. Ir. Anshary (Chairman of the Council of Consideration), and Dr. Muhammad Nasir (Head of SPI UNTAD). In addition, several Study Program Coordinators at the Postgraduate Program were also attended, Head of UPT Natalita and all Internal/External Lecturers at the Mathematics and Natural Sciences faculty, Officers and Mothers of Darma Wanita FMIPA.
This activity begins with reading the names of the outstanding lecturers by Prof. Dr. Ramadanil Pitopang, Msi as the Vice Dean of Academic Affairs as well as the awarding of "Reward" /award to the Lecturer who submitted the DPNA the fastest, to the Study Program with the fastest submission of DPNA and awards to members of Darma Wanita who are highly dedicated. Fadjryani, Ssi, Msi, Iut Tri Utami, Ssi, Msi (Prodi Statistics), Fahri Ssi, Msi (Biology), Jaya Hardi Ssi, Msi (Chemistry Study Program), Just,eni, Ssi, Msi (Prodi Statistics), Lilies Handayani, Ssi, Msi (Prodi Statistics) and Aden Ginanjar Andanawati, S.Farm, MSi (Pharmacy). Meanwhile, for the External Lecturer category who received the award, Dr. Siti Rahma, SSi, MA, Dr. Herawati, MA and Dr. Rosmala Nur, Msi. For the category of the fastest study program, the average completion of the DPNA was achieved by the Department of Biology.
At this event, Dr. H. Muhammad Rusydi Hasanuddin as FMIPA is currently reporting various improvements to the Quality of Student Services and Plans to improve Study Program Accreditation at FMIPA. As is known, the study programs at FMIPA are still accredited B but have the opportunity to be accredited A.
