UNTAD FMIPA Pharmacy prepares Pharmacist Professional Study Program

HAMMER – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences plans to add to the Pharmacist Professional study program. The demands and needs of the community are one of the aspects behind the establishment of this study program.

"The demands of the community's needs for the need for pharmacist education in Central Sulawesi are the background of the plan to form a pharmacist professional study program. This study program needs to be opened because considering the huge burden of UNHAS in accommodating pharmacy alumni residing in Sulawesi and other parts of Eastern Indonesia ". Said the Dean of FMIPA, Dr. M. Rusydi H, M.Si when met on Friday (14/09/18).

The preparation to open this study program has been maximally done. The Dean hopes that all preparations can be completed so that FMIPA UNTAD will soon have a Pharmacist Professional study program. "Alhamdulillah, all have welcome help us in opening a Pharmacist Profession study program. Currently, we are just waiting for a recommendation from the Indonesian Pharmacists Association (IAI). We have prepared various facilities such as classrooms, educational pharmacy, and the readiness of the teaching staff. We have also partnered with supporters from the chancellor to the local government” he added.

Head of Pharmacy Study Program, M. Sulaiman Zubair, S.Si., M.Si. Apt. Ph.D explained that the thing that must be prepared to establish a Pharmacist Professional study program is a form for proposing to open a study program. "For the addition of the Pharmacist Profession Study Program in Pharmacy, what must be prepared is a proposal form for opening a study program. The proposal form is complete and has been proposed at Kemenristek Dikti online ".

So far there are several requirements in forming a pharmacist professional study program in FMIPA, namely, recommendation from the Indonesian Pharmacist Association (IAI), establishment of educational pharmacies, MOU with several hospitals (Anutapura, Undata, and the Hospital located in Paris Moutong ), MOU Pharmacy chemistries, MOU for Kimia Farma distributor, to the Puskesmas in Palu City. In the future, This study program will open 40 student quota for the first year batch.
