Extraordinary, Moh Yusuf became the Best Graduate of Tadulako University at the Graduation Period 113 Year 2022

Moh. Yusuf, S.Si won the title of the best graduate of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and Tadulako University at the Graduation Ceremony Period 113 Year 2022 On Thursday (25/08). Son of Mr Hi. Ismail M and Mrs. Hajrah completed their studies at the Untad Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Department of Biology.

Yusuf completed his final project under the guidance of Dr. Lif.Sc. I Nengah Suwastika, M.Sc. M.Lif.Sc. as well as a Lecturer Guardian. With a scientific work entitled “Characterization of Xylanase Enzyme from Thermophilic Bacteria of Central Sulawesi Bora Hot Springs Isolate”, Yusuf was able to complete his studies in time 3 Year 8 graduate from 21 Days with GPA: 3,97 and the predicate graduated with "Compliment / Cumlaude". This GPA is the highest GPA for Tadulako University undergraduate level at the graduation period 113 year 2022.

"So in that research I isolated and characterized the Xylanase enzyme, where one of the benefits of this enzyme is to reduce the use of chemicals such as chlorine and chlorine dioxide in the paper and pulp industry.” Yusuf said.

On the occasion of an interview, Yusuf explained his motivation for getting the title of the best graduate was to return the favor and service and make his parents proud.

“My main motivation is to return the favor and service and make my parents proud. Besides that, it is also to raise the degree of my family, where my father and mother only graduated from elementary school. By graduating on time too (3 Year 8 Month 21 Hari), thank God, I can reduce the burden on my parents to pay for my UKT again”

"To get this title of course with hard work and prayers from many parties, especially the prayers of my parents". he added.

In addition to those with the highest GPA, Yusuf is also a recipient of the Student Creativity Program (PKM) Year 2021 and was once the best presenter at The 3rd International Conference On Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Applications, Research and Technology (ICON SMART 2022) in Denpasar Date 3 – 4 June 2022.

Yusuf's current achievements cannot be separated from the assistance of various parties. Especially his classmates.

“I also received a lot of assistance both services and materials from various parties. Starting from my classmates who are in the same study program (Solenopsis; Biology 2018) as well as from outside the product. Apart from that from seniors and alumni who are members of the Biology Student Association (HMB) FMIPA UNTAD” he said

Yusuf who is also the chairman of the Untad FMIPA biology student class 2018 advised other FMIPA students to always build relationships and develop their own potential by participating in various organizations and institutions according to their interests and talents. Do not make the organization as an academic obstacle, but make it as an academic support.

Hopefully Untad FMIPA alumni are able to answer hopes and challenges in the future by continuing to excel when working at public. The Chancellor also advised the alumni to keep working hard hard, because they still contribute in that way, to increase The original study program accreditation and Tadulako university.
