Located in FMIPA, PPUPIK Team Established Oyster Mushroom Incubator Center

FMIPANews. Through Campus Intellectual Product Business Development Program (PPUPIK), Dr. Umrah M.Si as team leader together with his two colleagues, namely Dr. Lif. Sc. I Nengah Suwastika, M.Sc, M. Lif. Sc and Dr. Lina Mahardiana SE, M.Si founded the Oyster Mushroom Incubator Center (conveniently located) at FMIPA UNTAD. This is done in order to increase the level of the economy Post-Disaster Community PASIGALA. Mushrooms with Latin Pleurotus Ostreatus this is considered sufficient profitable because of the use of low capital and the planting process production is quite short.

Oyster Mushroom Nursery

Titled Oyster Mushroom Cultivation Incubator Center (Pleurotus Ostreatus) Based on Micro Biotechnology, Dr. Umrah and his team implementing Home Agro business in post-disaster communities PASIGALA. Dr. Umrah explains that their Team provide opportunities for students, alumni, cooperation partner, society general and (survivor?)  disaster for involved in the development of this business. "We provide opportunities for students who want to program an internship and research related to oyster mushrooms. In addition, we also provide opportunities for alumni, work partners, general public, and disaster survivors who wish to be involved in development this effort "

Oyster Mushroom Production Room

The mushroom business developed by Dr. Umrah and his team using the application of Micro Biotechnology in the form of super inoculums in oyster mushroom production and industrial process technology post-harvest. it's very economical, streamline costs and ease of use cultivate these mushrooms. “Oyster mushroom cultivation is no longer using space so tightly closed that we are there is no need to pay additional investment costs to set up barracks nursery, so this business has economic advantage ". Said Dr. Umrah

Ready-to-Harvest Oyster Mushrooms

Dr. Umrah hopes for the presence of this Tadulako mushroom garden can be a vehicle for science education and an incubator for mushroom entrepreneurship development Central Sulawesi Oysters. In addition, this program can contribute to improve the economy of the people of Central Sulawesi. In this case,  Dr. Umrah is very grateful to Kemenristek Dikti has provided (financial support) through (scheme) PPUPIK 2019.
