Release and Debriefing of Geophysical Engineering Internship Participants

On 8 August 2024, Geophysical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Tadulako University carries out activities to release and equip intern participants in the context of the Independent Campus Learning program. (MBKM). This activity aims to increase student competency in the engineering field, especially in geophysical engineering. As much 28 Geophysical Engineering study program students took part in this program with high enthusiasm and enthusiasm.

These interns will be placed in various important agencies and large companies such as the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Department of Energy and Mineral Resources (EMR), Meteorological Agency, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG), as well as companies such as PT. Poso Energy, PT. Vale Indonesia, PT. Koninis Dawn Minerals, and PT. CPM. With direct experience in the field, Students are expected to hone their practical skills and strengthen their theoretical understanding, so that they are more ready to face the real world of work.

This release event was led directly by the Dean of FMIPA Tadulako University, Dr. Lufsyi Mahmudin |, who in his speech motivated the participants to make the best use of this internship opportunity. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining professionalism and work ethics during the program. Also present at the event, Coordinator of the Geophysical Engineering Study Program, Muhammad Rusli M, S.Si., M.Si., who also provides direction and advice to students regarding the importance of developing themselves during the internship period.

In addition to clearance, This activity is also filled with debriefing sessions which cover important materials such as work ethics, job security, and technical knowledge relevant to the field of geophysics. This provision aims to ensure the readiness of the participants before entering the field, so that they can undergo an optimal internship period and gain valuable experience to support their future careers.
